TM Performance has joined the ranks of the elite transmission manufacturers with its own product, designed to permit use of a motorcycle-derived powertrain on an automobile type vehicle.
In addition to a reverse gear, this unit has a self-locking plate differential. To adapt the gear ratios to the various circuits and engines, the PTU has a torsional transmission shaft and a pair of gears at the input (drop) that can be replaced by simply removing a cover and the torsional transmission shaft. The external housing has attachments for the suspension, the rear spoiler and the shock absorbers (optional).
